The famous Marian shrine of the Queen of Peace in Međugorje for 34 years has been visited by the pilgrims from all over the world. According to the testimony of six young people on 25th June 1981 on the hill Crnica, today’s Apparition Hill, had an encounter with the woman which they recognized as the Mother of God. Apparitions, by the words of now adult visionaries, still occur today.
In 2010 Holy See established the International Commission which consisted of twenty cardinals, bishops, theologians and other experts who have thoroughly studied the reports of apparitions of the Virgin Mary in Međugorje. The Commission completed its work in January 2014 and submitted their results to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith for further processing.
Medjugorje is place of prayer and peace, place of reconciliation with the God, with other people and with ourselves. Day after day it is confirmed by the fruits of faith and conversion on which testify many pilgrims who have had the courage to respond to God’s call and call of the Queen of Peace to the change of life. As the need for food and drink is necessary for physical life of man, the spiritual life is impossible without prayer. Spiritual life is in danger today, which many who come to find power and new way under the cover of the Queen of Peace, Our Lady of Međugorje are aware of. (Željka Šaravanja)
