The post of Monaco issued a stamp to celebrate the centenary of the first Monaco Air Rally.
Published in February 1914, the regulations of the Monaco International Rally pose a novel challenge held from 1st to 15th April 2014. The rally has seven itineraries each comprising a land-based stretch of 1140 km departing from different towns in Europe and a common maritime stretch of 210 km to Monaco, from Genoa or Marseille. Roland Garros has established himself as the grand winner of this rally by recording the best time in all the itineraries.
