Spain: First Floating Trade Fair Stamp (1956)

The ship, CIUDAD DE TOLEDO, with a tonnage of 10, 123, was used to transport Spain’s first floating Trade Fair of national products around the world, was built by the Cia Euskalduna atBilbao for her owners, the Cia Tras Mediterranea.
Ten thousand products of Spanish agriculture, industry and trade were shown at all the most important ports of the Spanish-American seaboard, including Buenos Aires, Bahia, Narranquilla, Colon, Vera Cruz, Tampico, New Orleans, Havana, Santiago de Cuba, Ciudad Trujillo and Puerto Rico (San Juan).
Note: There was also a similar occasion when a representative “Festival of Britain” (1951) was seaborne in an aircraft-carrier.
